Every year my mom's side of the family has a reunion on the first Saturday in August. This year I was able to meet my mom there and we had such a nice time. My family is very large. My great-grandparents had a total of 17 children (wow!). That is including 4 children from prior to their marriage and not including three children who passed away. My great-grandmother Alta Evelyn Brown was one amazing lady that I wish I could have known. My grandparents passed away in 1999 and 2000 and I am so happy to have a chance to visit family and get a little piece of them back for a day. The Browns are loud and fun and crazy and I've never had so many hugs in a day. It is wonderful to be part of the bunch.

This is Aunt Ruby. She is 74 and so much fun! She has a full head of natural red hair and no gray!

With Aunt Nancy. I could take these girls home with me. They are great!

I was nearly smacked for taking another picture.

Aunt Lucille and Cousin Pat (one of a 1000 cousins!)

Me with Aunt Nancy and Aunt Mary. Aunt Mary is 80. Doesn't she look great?!

Archie and Cousin Jayne. They really hit it off.

More cousins: Becky and Jeannette (and her husband Jim)

Me and Uncle Gale. He is one of the brothers very close to my pop-pop. We were able to get to know him and his family well. This is a really great second to getting to hug my Pop again. :)

All in all the whole day made me very thankful for family. God has blessed me.
(I am now working on getting my mom to move a few hours closer maybe)
