Happy New Years!

Can you believe that it is 2010 already? Wow. This year has so many possibilities and unknowns it makes me excited and terrified! :) Hopefully that will start with great opportunity of a job for me. I have been keeping busy putting in applications to substitute teach along with less worthy actions such as:
  • reading,(just started Dracula)
  • updating blogs, (see for references my 15 posts for today)
  • watching movies and TV shows (I love hulu)
  • listening to audio books, (next download - Persuasion)
  • starting puzzles, (I can only handle a 500 piece for now)
  • learning to knit, (I have a red scarf started)
  • hours of solitaire, (Russian solitaire is my new fav)
  • taking as much of Phil's time as possible, (he really is wonderful)
  • finding friends to meet for coffee, (my schedule is always open for that.. call me!)
  • or sitting at a bookstore when desperate for less solitary surroundings (Borders hasn't kicked me out yet).
So even with all of this fun... I am very ready for a job. I have an interview with a staffing service that works primarily with education positions on Wednesday. I can't wait to get busy on this new part of my life. It is sad how much I like to plan and keep busy. Phil keeps telling me that waiting and praying is a good thing and that God will guide me... so I'm trying to learn and grow. I will admit that this is extremely challenging for me - but it is a new start and I'm sure that God has great things in store for this year!

Last night we were able to ring in the new year playing Wii at the Schroeder's house. I seriously sat on the couch watching or playing it for over 3 hours. A lot of fun. I totally want one now! I asked Phil if he supposed I could get a Wii that comes with people to play with and he was doubtful. :)
