When Phil and I got married we kind of had everything in our lives completely turned upside down. On July 5th we celebrated our 3rd anniversary. On July 29th we got engaged. Just six weeks later we got married, went on a 5 day honeymoon to Gatlinburg and then we packed up all of our stuff and on the Sunday following our wedding we moved to Columbus.
We had no idea where we were going to live... but school was starting, so we had to go. Phil's step aunt and uncle were kind enough to let us stay with them. We thought it would take a few days for the paperwork to process.... but our first apartment fell through. Campus housing was just not livable... so we ended up staying with family for a second week. Things definitely did not go the way I expected in a lot of ways... (living with family for two weeks right after the honeymoon, starting work and school before unpacking one box... etc). However in the end we were finally able to get into a place. Yay! By God's grace we have a really nice apartment.
We live in Grove City Ohio. It is about 15 minutes from school and my workplace. The apartment complex is beautiful and fairly new - built in 2001. We have a washer and dryer too. Yay! No more quarters!
