Thanksgiving On The Farm

This year Phil and I were able to go to Pennsylvania and spend time with my family for Thanksgiving. It was awesome. We didn't know we could go until the week before. I was thrilled! So we enjoyed several days of the country life in PA. I got to show off my husband and enjoy everyone there. Being on a farm for the holidays has quite a different feel than life in Ohio.

In the mornings we woke up to this:
Phil learned new wood chopping skills (and you know, girls like guys with skills, Gosh!)

From Thanksgiving 2010
We enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace:

Playing catch:

Checking out the chicken coop:

Saying hello to the ducks:

Eating my mom's fantastic food!

She literally braided the crust on this custard pie. How cool!

And look! We helped! Yes my husband peels potatoes. Woo hoo!

Look at that meal! Including (but not limited to): Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn pudding, homemade cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, and sweet potato casserole. How wonderful and fattening!

A wonderful Thanksgiving, and our first as Mr. and Mrs. Vine. Thank the Lord for his goodness!

Wow! This is truly wonderful. I love how you set it all up and the pictures are great. I use to live on a farm too and have some great memories, but you will have a great scrapbook to remember it by and to share with your children. You will print this out won't you or save it to DVD. Is that possible?
