So I am now in my third week of student teaching. It has be wonderful but exhausting! I am getting to know about a hundred kids and getting used to preparing for them. I've been teaching half the classes so far and starting next week I will be in charge of all of them. I am feeling great about things so far. The kids are very enjoyable - though some are a little crazy. Our first big test is tomorrow and I am wondering how sad I will be when I grade papers Friday. So far I have been seeing that the teaching is not the tough part... it is keeping track of the million other things going on with the kids. Whether you are taking attendance, checking dress code, authorizing a bathroom break or attending staff meetings there seem to be a ton of things going on every day. Busy or not... there are a few things I'm really enjoying:
1) My job is discussing history.
2) Beginning the work day with the pledge of allegiance.
3) NOT being in an office.
more to come!
